Alberta Wilderness Association (AWA) is the oldest wilderness conservation group in Alberta dedicated to the completion of a protected areas network and the conservation of wilderness throughout the province.
Founded in 1965, AWA is a non-profit, federally registered, charitable society. Our charitable number is 118781251RR0001.
AWA’s outreach work is achieved through communication, education, conservation and advocacy and is supported through volunteers, member and donor programs, fundraising through grants, campaigns, and events and a planned giving program.

A home is a precious thing many of us take for granted. Since 1998, the Calgary Homeless Foundation (CHF) has worked to reduce homelessness in our city.
As of 2008, the Foundation received a new mandate: to endhomelessness in Calgary in 10 years.
The Foundation is moving forward on implementing Calgary’s 10 Year Plan in partnership with the many homeless serving agencies, the private sector, our government partners, the faith community, other foundations and all Calgarians to end homelessness in Calgary.
